HOUSTON -- Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak was back with his team, if only for a short visit. He dropped in on the team at the end of practice Thursday, four days after he collapsed at a game with a mini-stroke. Kubiak was not made available to the media, but interim head coach Wade Phillips shared what Kubiak said to the team. "Mostly that he missed them and how much he missed (being here)," Phillips said. "(He said) You dont realize until youre away from it a little bit how much you miss the team and being around them, and that kind of thing. And that he felt good. That was his message." It was the first time Kubiak had addressed the Texans since collapsing on the field and being rushed to the hospital at halftime of Houstons loss to Indianapolis on Sunday night. "To actually see him and hear him talk to us, that means everything," left tackle Duane Brown said. "You can hear all about somebody doing well ... but seeing them out and about and walking around that means everything to us." The Texans have not said when the 52-year-old Kubiak will resume his coaching duties. But they have said that he is expected to make a full recovery after he was released from the hospital Tuesday. Defensive end Antonio Smith was relieved to see Kubiak after only hearing reports of his status since his attack. "It was a breath of fresh air," Smith said. "That takes a lot of the guessing out of it. Everybody was wondering how he was really doing ... is he really worse than what they say? Hes right there in front of you doing good." Kubiak suffered a transient ischemic attack, or TIA, which occurs when blood flow to the brain is briefly interrupted, typically by a blood clot or narrowed blood vessels. TIAs are often called mini-strokes and can cause stroke-like symptoms including sudden dizziness or unconsciousness. Experts say they are often a warning sign for a future stroke, particularly within three months of a TIA. Kubiak used his visit to thank the team for their concern over his illness and to tease offence lineman Ben Jones for a particularly heartfelt letter he penned to the coach. Phillips does not expect Kubiak to be involved in game preparations this week despite his visit on Thursday. He said Kubiak has told him to do what he thinks needs to be done with the team. Houston takes a six-game losing streak to Arizona this Sunday. Along with Kubiak being out, the team is also dealing with uncertainty at running back: Arian Foster hasnt practiced this week after leaving Sundays game early in the first quarter with a back injury and Ben Tate is still recovering from four broken ribs he sustained Oct. 20. Foster seems doubtful to play against the Cardinals after Phillips said on Thursday that doctors are still evaluating his injury. Tate was limited in practice on Thursday, but said he expects to play. Joe Thornton Jersey . Toronto dropped a 7-2 decision to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday afternoon, with only a pair of late runs preventing a second straight shutout loss. Josh Willingham belted a two-run homer in the first inning and Kendrys Morales hit a bases-clearing double in the seventh as the Twins took the rubber game of the three-game series. Cheap San Jose Sharks Jerseys . Granada goalkeeper Roberto Fernandez saved Morenos first two headers from corner kicks taken by Sergio Garcia, but the defender beat him on his third try after Garcia found Moreno unmarked at the near post in the 78th minute. http://www.cheapsharksjerseys.com/?tag=adidas-aaron-dell-jersey.com) - Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer were among the third-round winners Friday at the French Open. Marc-Edouard Vlasic Jersey . So much so that even a simple foul pop up to the first baseman turned into a run. Houstons four-run rally in the ninth inning to beat the Seattle Mariners 6-4 on Monday night was capped by a bizarre play that started as Crowe fouled out to first baseman Justin Smoak with runners on second and third. Logan Couture Jersey . Ashley Wagner will skate in the womens short program for a U.S. team thats in seventh place. Davis and White won the silver medal at the Vancouver Games and are two-time world champions. SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Rudy Gay walked off the court to a standing ovation in the final minutes, receiving high-fives from coaches and teammates on the bench -- and a hug from DeMarcus Cousins. Nobody might be more thankful than Sacramentos centre for the added help. Gay scored 26 points in his first home game since coming over in a trade from Toronto, leading the Kings past the Houston Rockets 106-91 on Sunday night. "It makes the game so much easier," Cousins said. "Its not such a heavy load on me and Isaiah (Thomas) every night, just having another go-to guy." With Gay leading the way, Sacramento outshot Houston 48.1 to 41.3 per cent and finally showed some signs of defence. Cousins collected 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Thomas had 19 points and eight assists to help Sacramento hold on to the lead for most of the final 35 minutes. Gay added five rebounds and four assists. He finished 10 for 20 from the field in a dazzling home debut for the Kings, who had lost eight of their past 10 games. "The basketball is going to be in my hands a lot," Gay said, "so Im just trying to keep everybody comfortable and keep everybody happy." James Harden sprained his left ankle early in the third quarter and finished with 25 points, and Dwight Howard had 13 points and 10 rebounds while battling foul trouble in a disappointing end to Houstons quick three-game road trip. The Rockets lost at Portland on Thursday and won at Golden State on Friday. Rockets assistant Kelvin Sampson filled in for Kevin McHale all three games following the death of McHales mother. Guard Jeremy Lin sat out with back spasms and forward Terrence Jones had two points and five assists while playing just 15 minutes because of flu-like symptoms. Its unclear whether Harden or Lin will be able to play Wednesday against Chicago in Houston. "Its very, very painful," Harden said of his ankle. "I am trying to get through this, stay positive and focus on getting back." Sacramentos newest attraction seized the opportunity. Gay, who came over in a seven-player traade from Toronto last week, had 24 points in the loss at Phoenix on Friday.dddddddddddd. He started quickly in his first game at home for Sacramento, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, including a series of scintillating drives and dunks that brought most of the announced crowd of 15,606 roaring to their feet. "It makes my job easier on offence. Thats for sure," Kings coach Michael Malone said. "Hes so skilled. Hes so talented. He makes it look so easy out there. He can score in so many ways." As Houstons mistakes piled up, Sacramento surged ahead. The Kings took advantage of 11 turnovers by the Rockets in the first half to go ahead 48-38 late in the second quarter. Houston had six turnovers in the second half. Sacramento didnt exactly play a clean game, either. The Kings finished with 16 turnovers. "We still had opportunities to win," Howard said. "But we didnt capitalize on them." Harden gave the Rockets a bigger scare when he twisted his ankle stepping on Ben McLemores foot while driving through traffic early in the third quarter. Harden lay on the hardwood for a couple minutes, but stayed in the game to make both free throws -- lifting his left foot in the air while shooting -- before limping to the locker room. Harden returned later in the quarter, and appeared slightly hampered. The Rockets also struggled to regroup, especially with Howard on the bench in foul trouble. Sampson admitted he "probably should not have put" Harden back in the game. But he was more frustrated with Houstons effort from the start. "I didnt think we were ready to play," Sampson said. "I didnt think it was a good effort. We are letting too many of these type of games slip away." NOTES: Kings G Marcus Thornton did not play in the first half. He had two points in nearly 7 minutes in the second half. ... Houston had won five of its previous six games at Sacramento. ... Rockets big man Omer Asik, who has been the subject of trade rumours, missed his sixth straight game with what the team has called a bruised right thigh. ' ' '
